PRINT PROOF TESTER

The Duncan Lynch Proof Print Tester and Film Weight Roll Out Machine are designed for the quick preparation of repeatable prints on tin plate, paper or board of comparable quality to those from production offset presses. The obvious advantage is that when the stock is printed it is kept flat.

The tester can be used for printing strips at correct offset film weights on various materials. These prints can be stoved to check the drying time, shade, tinctorial strength and colour retention after repeated stovings. The prints can be examined for opacity, smoothness and evenness of ink lay. The prints can also be over printed. Alternatively prints can be made on tin plate that has previously been roller coated or sized.

The maximum width of sheet which can be carried by the platform is 160mm. There is no actual limitation on the length, though if it were longer than 305mm it would become rather cumbersome to handle. There is no lower limit to the size of material that can be handled, but small pieces would have to be taped to the platform and the excess ink cleaned off.

These machines can be supplied for operation on 110 or 240 volts and there is a range of accessories to make them suitable for a wide range of applications. e.g. Oscillating rollers, Applicator Rollers and Pipettes.
